Before beginning
the configuration of the parameters of compression, we will carry out
the last 2 adjustments. Be sure the audio is not activated. We go in the
menu "Audio".
In the first
option, "Track Number", be sure the option
is not activated. Select "NONE".

Be sure the
optimization of calculation is according to your processor . For that
we go in the menu "Option".
We go in
the option " iDCT Algorithm " where we select the type of processor
which we use . For my part I select the algorithm compression 32-bit SSE
MMX (Processors Intel, Pentium, PII, PIII, P4, Xeon, Celeron. Processors
AMD K6, K6-2, Athlon, AthlonXP, AthlonMP, Duron).

We go now
in the menu "File".
First, we
choose the option , "Save AVI".

Select a
site on your hard disk to record your file . Envisage a minimum space
of 700 Mb . When you will clickz on "Save"
to save your movie file , a new window "Video Compression"
will open.

It is in
this window that we will be able to select our codec of encoding, then
"DIVX PRO 5.0.2 Codec". When this option is
selected, we will click on the button "Configure...".
We have now the window of the adjustment
of our codec .
Within the first framework "Bitrate" we will
configure the flow of the video . First we will let by default the "Variable
bitrate mode" on 1-pass.
With the software "FEZ
- Microwave Bit Rate Calculator", I evaluated that my video would
have a compression of
approximately 850 kbps (for a soundtrack in MP3 with a bite rate of 128
kbps).
Within the Third framework "MPEG4 Tools", I select
the option "use Bidirectional Encoding".
when theses parameters are done, valid all window with the buttons : "OK"
