CD'n'Go! Un logiciel incontournable!

I've tested many softwares to find the pearl rare.

My goal was to find you a free software able to compete the paying software.

My goal was to find a software able rip any cd or .wav files to MP3 or OGG and using the best encoding codecs.

After long hours of research and tests of compatibilities, I've retained this little pearl which is CD’n’GO! created by Spanish developpers.

The installation of this software is very easy on every Windows Version (excepted 3.11) with or without ASPI. Indeed, I found so many softwares wich could work only with the ASPI, and some didn't recognized the last aspi version.

Contrary to free softwares of quality , CD’n’Go doesn't have any commercial banners on his interface and it doesn't include any promotion softwares too.

This software is a must to have, you will be able to use it in many differents languages. CD'n'Go integrate too the famous Freedb to edit all of your cd tracks.

A second software is given witth CD'n'Go!: Burn'n'Go 1.01is a CD burning software wich could be able to convert all your kind of audio files to audio cd files during the CD burning.

CD’n’Go! give a large choice of MP3 encoding codecs: Lame version 3.93, Gogo, and the famous Fraunhaufer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec Professionnel if this one is already installed on your computer.

We won't make any tutorials for this software but we made here a Benchmark to compare all codecs included, and we will compare it to the famous software Audiograbber version 1.81 using the Fraunhaufer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec Professionnal.

Configuration Test:
Pentium 4 2.53b @ 2.85 Fsb 600
Ram: 512 Mb PC 2700
Windows XP Pro SP1
Aspi 4.7.1.2
Audio File: Wav 123'361kb / 11mn 56sec

The MP3compression is based on 128kbps you can see that the MP3 VBR (Variable Bit Rate) doesn't win a lot of space if you compare to the OGG. Using the MP3 Lame codec or Gogo.dll wich is based on lame, you will get the faster MP3 encoding software for some more octet than the Fraunhaufer codec. The OGG compression is so fast compared to Lame but it's the best audio codec compression quality size. Compressed with the value 1 VBR, I've got a 72 kbps Bit Rate wich is equal to the MP3 128Kbps for the audio quality. CD'n'Go has a big advantage to the software like Audiograbber. It offer you the opportunity to use any kind of codecs and it's FREE!
